Persuasion Paperback - April 02, 2019 by Jane Austen (Author).
Jane Austen’s final novel once again takes a clear-eyed, witty look at love, social pretensions, and emotional confusion. Eight years ago, Anne Elliot was happily engaged to Frederick Wentworth—until her friend, Lady Russell, persuaded her that Frederick was “unworthy.” Now, Frederick has returned, a wealthy captain in the navy, while Anne’s family verges on bankruptcy. Anne still loves Frederick—but will her past mistakes keep them apart?
